High Pressure Mist Cooling has become a popular way to help combat heat stress in poultry.

Stainless steel tubes with misting nozzles attached are fixed above the air inlets down the internal sides of the building. The system has a high pressure pump and when activated forces water through the misting nozzles creating a very fine atomised mist in the air. These particles evaporate in the heat within the building and in doing so cool the air down.

The control computer can be activated by humidity or temperature.

Not only used for cooling, a misting system can be used to pre-soak floors before washing and to increase humidity at chick start.
